I wanted to write to you to share some exciting news regarding our HR Projects offering and in particular, the resourcing of that offering.
To understand where we are going with that aspect of our business, it is probably a good idea to share a little more context.
Business Review and Client Survey
During 2019, we commissioned an external business review of Navigator’s operations. Both the process and the resultant report and findings were extremely valuable and laid a roadmap for some of the ways in which we might encourage improvement in our business processes and in particular how we might better service the needs of our clients. Part of that plan included our first ever client survey which took place earlier this year and the results of that survey further fuelled our desire to progress with our plans.
One of the recommendations of our Business Review was based around the resourcing and bandwidth we had available to us within our HR Projects structure at that time.
We attempted to initiate a recruitment campaign in mid-March of 2020 and we all know what happened next. As a business, we were forced to concentrate fully on the immediate needs of our clients and consequently we were forced to temporarily postpone any further development in that direction. However, at the end of the summer we reignited our development plans and the result is that we now have a considerably strengthened resource to support the HR needs of our clients.
Ruth Gladwell
I am delighted to announce that Ruth Gladwell joined us last month in our newly created position of Human Resources Business Partner. Ruth will be working closely with the whole team at Navigator to support future HR Projects and in the immediate future will be relying on Stephanie, Clare and I to ease her route into the business. I am also very excited about progressing a number of HR initiatives with Ruth which should further widen our support offering to our clients moving forward. Ruth is a Fellow of the CIPD and this further enhances our service offering; I find it to be very satisfying that Navigator has attracted someone of Ruth’s pedigree and I am sure that our clients will benefit from her experience.
Stephanie Harper
Stephanie Harper who has headed up our HR Projects function over the last three years will be one of the new supporting team of Associate HR Consultants. Stephanie has been a big part of what we have achieved over the last three years and I am very grateful to her for her efforts and for her significant contribution to our levels of client satisfaction and our continued growth. Therefore, I am delighted that Stephanie has decided to retain her strong link with Navigator and indeed we have a number of projects that she is already committed to which are likely to run on into the New Year and beyond. Stephanie is assuming her new role as Associate HR Consultant from now onwards.
Additional Associate HR Consultants
We have further pending announcements which we will share with you next week which will centre primarily around our expanded Associate HR Consultants team. We have recruited a number of Associate HR Consultants and they will be going live on our website shortly.
HR Bandwidth
The bottom line is that we have considerably more resources available to us over the coming months and we will be writing out to you again shortly with a reminder of what we have always been able to provide as well as some exciting new services we wish to make available to you.
As a client that has utilised our HR Project services in the past, I wanted to share with you our plans and I hope that moving forward if you have any such HR need, you will be comforted and encouraged that we have expanded our bandwidth in this particularly important area.
We have plans to invest further in our business on various fronts and in a number of service enhancing formats and so I will be writing to you fairly regularly over the coming months to share those plans with you.
