Employment Tribunal Representation, Legal Fees, and Awards – Our Financial Guarantee
We understand that having agreement on the levels of fees and that they are fixed is very attractive to most businesses. So, we have also extended these features to a previously difficult area in which to predict costs, namely employment tribunals.
When you become a client of Navigator you will be protected by our unique financial guarantee. Under that all fees incurred by you to us, in preparing for and representing you at employment tribunal are settled by our insurers under the terms of an umbrella policy we have arranged for this purpose. So, if you receive notification of an employment tribunal, to ensure complete peace of mind all you have to do is let us know and we will take care of the rest for you. In addition the policy will cover any awards of compensation payable if you are unsuccessful at tribunal.
How do we do this?
In both instances, an important condition of our insurance policy (and therefore your eligibility to benefit under our financial guarantee) is that you must have sought and followed advice from Navigator prior to taking action against any employee. That does not mean that you have to follow that advice if you prefer, for commercial reasons, to follow another route. You are always free to choose to do that, but in that case cover under the financial guarantee may be restricted. We will guide you each step of the way and our advice will always be practical.
